HOW TO MAKE FAMILY PHOTOS FAST AND EASY ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

Welcome back friends! This week, I wanted to share all the things that can help you on your wedding day to make your family photos fast and easy! It’s all about planning and keeping your cool during this point of the day. If you want all the tips and tricks, keep on scrolling.

MAKE A PRIORITY LIST

First things first, make a priority list! This priority list will have all the people you need photos with. To make this a lot easier, you can make a Group A, Group B, and Group C. Group C being the least important people you need photos with and A being the most important people you need photos with. This is something you can give your photographer after you’ve created it.

FIGURE OUT WHAT GROUPINGS YOU WANT

Next, figure out what groupings you want. This can be different combinations of people you want photos with. This is something you will also give to your photographer so they know who’s name to call for each combination. Make sure the combos are simple and that there are not too many of them.

GIVE THE FAMILY A HEADS UP

Give your family a heads up. For the people on your Group A priority list and some on your B list, be sure to give them a heads up for when you will be taking these photos so that they’re present. This is really helpful so you don’t have to go searching for anyone.

HAVE A FRIEND HELP YOU OUT

It’s always great to have a helping hand on your wedding day. You can have someone from your bridal party or even a really close family member help you out with family photos. This person can call names if needed or grab that person that needs photos with you.

LEAVE THE PHONES

Always put your phone on the side when taking family photos. It can be really distracting and difficult for your photographer if there’s another camera next to you. The people getting their photos taken won’t know which camera to look at and it can cause chaos. So just be sure to put away your phones for this time being
